Cyclist, Jason White, banned following anti-doping rule violation
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) has today confirmed that cyclist Jason White has been suspended from all sport for two years following an anti-doping rule violation.
Mr White is banned after refusing to provide a sample on 28 September 2014. The rider is banned from all competition from 12 November 2014 to 11 November 2016. The full written decision can be found under current rule violations.
UKAD Director of Legal Graham Arthur said: “To fail to comply with sample collection is a serious violation of the anti-doping rules. Testing remains integral to our work and the consequences of failing to provide a sample warrant sufficiently stiff penalties."
“When anti-doping authorities request a sample, athletes need to do everything they can to cooperate. Now, under the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code, refusal or failure to comply with the anti-doping process will result in a four-year ban.”
