U.S. Bobsled Athlete Kyler Allison Receives Sanction for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

USADA announced today that Kyler Allison, of Austin, Texas, an athlete in the sport of bobsled, has received a four-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation after his refusal to provide a urine sample.
Allison, 35, refused to provide a sample as requested by a USADA doping control officer during an out-of-competition test on July 25, 2019.
Evading sample collection, or refusing or failing to submit to sample collection, without compelling justification, is an anti-doping rule violation under the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing, the United States Olympic Committee National Anti-Doping Policies, and the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) Anti-Doping Rules, all of which have adopted the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.
Allison’s four-year period of ineligibility began on August 15, 2019, the date he accepted a provisional suspension. In addition, Allison has
been disqualified from competitive results obtained on and subsequent to July 25, 2019, the date he refused to submit a sample, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes.
