U.S. Weightlifting Athlete Kaley Anderson Accepts Sanction for Anti-Doping Rule Violation

USADA announced today that Kaley Anderson, of Port Orange, Fla., an athlete in the sport of weightlifting, has accepted a four-year suspension for an anti-doping rule violation.
Anderson, 24, tested positive for LGD-4033 (Ligandrol) and its metabolite, di-hydroxy-LGD-4033, as the result of a urine sample collected in-competitionat the USA Weightlifting National Championships on May 12, 2019. LGD‐4033 is a non-Specified Substance in the class of Anabolic Agents and is prohibited at all times under the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing, the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee National Anti-Doping Policies, and the International Weightlifting Federation Anti-Doping Policy, all of which have adopted the World Anti-Doping Code and the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List.
Anderson’s four-year period of ineligibility began on May 12, 2019, the date her positive sample was collected. In addition, Anderson has been disqualified from competitive results obtained on and subsequent to May 12, 2019, including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes.
