Following requests from a number of national associations, UEFA has established a working group to examine the issues surrounding workers’ rights in Qatar up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup and beyond.

Working alongside FIFA, the group will analyse evidence from football stakeholders, as well as from independent global organisations with an interest in this area.

The group will establish a roadmap of visits and reporting not only between now and the tournament starting in November 2022, but also into 2023, to examine the legacy the World Cup leaves behind.

Chaired by Michele Uva, UEFA’s Football and Social Responsibility Director, the group includes representatives from the following FAs: England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.
